Privacy policy

1. Who we are

This privacy policy applies to the website leadersonpurpose.ma (the “Site”), operated by Leaders On Purpose (“we”, “us”). Leaders On Purpose is the data controller for the personal data collected through the Site.

We comply with Moroccan Law 09-08 on the protection of personal data (CNDP) and, for visitors located in the European Union, with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679, the “GDPR”).

2. Data we collect

2.1 Information you give us

  • Newsletter subscription: email address and language preference.
  • Contact form: full name, email address, subject, message, and your explicit consent.
  • Application form: full name, email address, organisation, service requested, message, and event details when you apply for moderation services.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Technical metadata: device type, browser, referring page, language. Your IP address is truncated (last octet zeroed) before any storage to prevent re-identification.
  • Anti-spam metadata on forms: signed render token and submission timing, used only to detect automated submissions.
  • Analytics (only if you accept the analytics cookies): page views, scroll depth, outbound clicks, session start — aggregated and anonymous.

3. Why we use your data

  • Respond to your contact requests and applications.
  • Send you the newsletter — only if you explicitly subscribe through double opt-in.
  • Improve the Site and understand which content matters — only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Detect and block spam or malicious submissions.

4. Legal basis

  • Your consent for the newsletter and analytics cookies.
  • Pre-contractual measures or legitimate interest for processing contact and application submissions.
  • Legal obligation when applicable (for example, responding to lawful authorities’ requests).

5. Retention periods

  • Contact and application submissions: 90 days, then automatically deleted.
  • Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe (one-click link in every email).
  • Analytics: 14 months, the default Google Analytics 4 retention.
  • Server logs: 30 days, kept by our hosting provider for security purposes.

6. Who has access to your data

Your data is processed by Leaders On Purpose and by the following technical providers, each bound by appropriate data-protection commitments:

  • o2switch SAS (France) — website hosting and email transactional delivery.
  • Kit, formerly ConvertKit (United States) — newsletter sending. Cross-border transfer based on standard contractual clauses (SCCs).
  • Google (United States) — Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, only if you accept analytics cookies. Cross-border transfer based on standard contractual clauses (SCCs).

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising profiling, and we do not share it with any other third party.

7. Cookies

Two categories of cookies are used on the Site:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: required to display the Site and keep your session active. Always on, no consent needed.
  • Analytics cookies: only set if you click “Accept all” on the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser cookies, which will trigger the banner again on your next visit.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you,
  • request its correction or deletion,
  • request the restriction of, or object to, its processing,
  • obtain a portable copy of your data in a structured format,
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting past lawful processing.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@leadersonpurpose.ma. We will respond within thirty days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country: the CNDP in Morocco (www.cndp.ma) or your local Data Protection Authority in the European Union.

9. Children

This Site is not intended for users under sixteen years old. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information through the Site, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect technical, legal or organisational changes. The date at the top of the page indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the Site.
